Aron, a good Samaritan from GoCab, a taxi company informed us that a tablet was found in a taxi cab with a STOP security Plate that belongs to a community assistance company for special needs. Informed Aron I would reach out to the company to discuss recovering the tablet. In process.

We received a call today from Adal Caminos, who located a laptop in a construction site porta potty in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Contacted the hospital that owns the laptop with details to recover the device. In process.

A Laptop with the STOP Security plate ID# USA354870 registered to Lakeshore Technical College was recovered. It was found in a bedroom by Tina Ybanez, the Mother of a former student at Lakeshore who will not be able to return the laptop himself. She resides in the Wisconsin area so she would like to return the device to the school or by other means.

Niloy from amazon found a device that contains a STOPTHEFT Security Plate. Confirmed belongs to a school district. Reached out to confirm status of the device.

Associate, Roberto Machado, was meeting with a client at WXOU Radio Bar. At approximately 11:30 pm he noticed his backpack containing his work Surface NB 5 laptop was missing. He will be filing a police report as well as following up with the bar staff to try and locate the backpack and laptop. Last login was 6:29PM. Good Samaritan contacted STOP this morning to advise that he found a STOP-tagged Latitude in their Municipal Service Beautification Garage Bay, in the City of Boca Raton, FL. The laptop was shipped incorrectly to them and should have been shipped to a large waste management company in Miami, FL. The recovery is in process.

Virginia Badour from Harman Internation contacted STOP today to advise that she received a laptop, STOP ID# USA437816 (screen grab below for reference) at her , Novi, MI, facility. It was found by a driver on the side of the road at the satellite office near the Harmin main building. She will hold on to the device until 12pm EST today. She informed me that she will not be in the office again until next week. I requested she turn it into the Harmin security team, and she said she would do her best.

Received call from unknown person in San Jose, CA. that a Apple Notebook was found at Blackford Elementary School. They hung up before providing any information. Contacted the school district that owns the laptop and they informed me it may be stolen. Currently under investigation. Recovery in process.

A good Samaritan name Paula found an HP Notebook with STOP ID# USR11618 in a storage unit they purchased in California. She would like to know if you wanted to recover the laptop or if it’s free & clear to discard.
